The washer itself is quite heavy, but is wheeled. 

You will need to prime the unit with water until it runs through the nozzles, before, it is actually switched on to pressurise the water. 

The handle grip has a lock button on it to stop it being inadvertently used. Ensure you have this on the correct position for the water to start flowing
